WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

What are you currently reading?

Girl in Luv by Jay Crownover and Rebecca Yarros. The pretty cover and fake relationship trope was enough for me to pick this up.

What did you recently finish reading?

Faking Under the Mistletoe by Ashley Shepherd. This was very cute. I loved the banter and it reminded me of The Hating Game at times. It was a bit unfocused and a Olivia could be a little pervy at times, but besides that I really enjoyed it. I recommend it if you’re in the mood for a holiday Romance.

Enemies by Tijan. My first Tijan book! It took me a while to get used to the writing style and I had a few issues here and there, but I overall enjoyed it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not sure what I’m in the mood for. Maybe Regretting You by Colleen Hoover? It sounds a little more Women’s Fiction-y than I’m in the mood for, though. so maybe not?

  1. It would have been funny if I texted you about the Faking book. Did you mark it as a want to read on Goodreads? I can’t remember if I found it through you or on my own browsing on Amazon. If I have time I am going to try her first book too.

I have read some Tijan books before and I liked them. I hope I can read this one before my membership runs out. I am cheap so I am crossing my fingers they will offer me a discount soon.

    • I first saw the Faking book when I saw you were reading it on Goodreads, actually. So you indirectly recommended it to me. So thanks! Have you finished it yet? I haven’t read her other book yet. I think I’ll wait to see if you like it (it just didn’t look as interesting to me). I can usually find a good KU deal two or three times a year (I definitely won’t pay full price for it), so I’ll let you know when I see one.

      • I am glad you liked it! I have not finished it yet but I do like it. I am around halfway I am not going to have time to read her other book before my subscription runs out. I am hoping they will offer a good deal soon because I have a list I want to read now.

  2. The new CoHo IS more women’s fiction, so I don’t recommend if you’re not in the mood. I don’t want you to hate it. Lol. The cover of Girls in Luv is seriously beautiful!

  3. STOP! WAIT! YOU ENJOYED ENEMIES!?!? I am so surprised. I knew you were going to give it a try, but I didn’t know what you would make of it. Would you read more of her books? Because now I kind of want you to give Fallen Crest High a shot. You would need to realize it builds over the series, but it gets better as each book goes along. It reminded me a bit of the Erin Watt books. I might have some of them to lend. My library’s Overdrive had some of them, too.
You have to tell me how you feel about Girl in Luv when you’re done. I’ve had my eyes on that one. Regretting You might be a little Women’s Fiction, but there’s also a YA aspect and a romance aspect. You might like it more than you’re thinking.

    • Haha yeah, I mostly enjoyed Enemies. There was some eye-rolling at times, but it was kind of addicting. I would be interested in reading more from her. I remember looking for her books at the library after you first read Fall Crest and they weren’t there, but I just checked again and they are now, so I will definitely be giving them a try in the future!
I think I’m going to hold off on the CoHo book for now and maybe go for it the next time I have KU.
