December 2019 Recap

I hope you all had a good holiday season! I had a lot of fun. A couple weekends before Christmas I got to have an early celebration with my mother, aunt, and both siblings and their families (the first time we’ve had the Canadians home for Christmas in many years). The weekend before Christmas I celebrated with most of my extended family in my aunt and uncle’s new home – a log cabin in the middle of nowhere, which is kind of the picture perfect Christmas location, isn’t it? On Christmas Eve/Day I celebrated with my Mom and we had a very chill, low-key couple of days. I was also off of work the whole week of Christmas, which was so, so nice.

Christmas Book Haul

I received these beautiful Jane Austen books. The pictures do not do them justice. I also received No Way Out by Cara Hunter (I’m saving it to be my first book of 2020), Would Like to Meet by Rachel Winters, and Famous in a Small Town by Emma Mills.

  1. OOooooo I have not seen those editions all together as a boxed set like that!! So pretty! I have Persuasion in that edition and love it.

Log cabins in the middle of nowhere are excellent if you have nowhere you have to go haha

    • They are quite beautiful! I hadn’t seen any of them before and my sister surprised me with them. Thankfully the weather was good the day we went to the log cabin. I have no idea how they’re managing when it’s snowy and icy like it has been this weekend!
