WHAT I’M READING

Silver Shadows (Bloodlines, #5)

I’m still reading Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead. I got distracted by a couple books since I started it. I’m still having a hard time getting into it, though. Not a whole lot has been going on yet.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Four: A Divergent Story Collection (Divergent, #0.1 - 0.4)

Four: A Divergent Story Collection by Veronica Roth. I honestly wasn’t going to read this since Allegiant kind of ruined this series for me. But it was at the library, so I thought I’d give it a try. I also just finally watched Divergent this weekend and while I didn’t think the movie was as great as everyone else did, it reminded me how much I liked the first book. And how much I liked Four before books two and three happened.

WHAT I’M READING

Silver Shadows (Bloodlines, #5)

Silver Shadows (Bloodlines #5) by Richelle Mead. I’m only a couple chapters in so far, so I don’t have much of an opinion of it yet. So far Adrian has reverted back to his old ways and I find that annoying. I’m hoping it won’t take the whole book for him and Sydney to be reunited.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Opposition (Lux, #5)

Opposition (Lux #5) by Jennifer Armentrout. This comes out tomorrow!!!!!!!!! I’m so excited. I seriously contemplated taking a vacation day at work so I can just read.

WHAT I’M READING

The City

The City by Dean Koontz. I’ve never read a Koontz book before and I was expecting suspense/mystery, but that’s not what this book is at all. I don’t even know how to describe it yet. I’m only a few chapters in and so far I just think it’s a little odd. I’m hoping I just haven’t gotten to the main plot yet.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Gone

Gone by Anna Bloom. I’m going to be part of the blog tour for this book, so I got a review copy and I’m anxious to start it. I actually might put The City on hold for a bit to read this instead.

WHAT I’M READING

Siege and Storm (The Grisha, #2)

Yes, I’m finally doing my Shadow and Bone re-read! Right now I’m on Siege and Storm. I think I like this book better than the first one. One word: Sturmhond!!!! I love him. Ruin and Rising comes out June 17th!

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, #1)

I’m not sure, but I think I might go with Dorothy Must Die since I only have it for a few more days from the library.

WHAT I’M READING

Take Me On (Pushing the Limits, #4)

Take Me On (Pushing the Limits #4) by Katie McGarry. After reading City of Heavenly Fire, I had major book hangover and I tried starting three other book before landing on this one and being able to read more than the first chapter. So far, it’s very much  like the other books in this series, but that kind of what I expect.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1)  Siege and Storm (The Grisha, #2)  Ruin and Rising (The Grisha, #3)

I think I’m feeling a Grisha series re-read (for real this time!) to get ready for Ruin and Rising on the 17th!

WHAT I’M READING

Omens (Cainsville, #1)

Omens (Cainsville #1) by Kelley Armstrong. This book has been on my TBR list forever and finally became available at the library. I’m not quite half way through yet, but I’m a little disappointed so far. After a promising beginning, the pace has slowed way down and it’s just kind of weird and confusing instead of mysterious. I thought about putting this down, but I’ve waiting so long to read it and am far enough into it that I want to see it through.

Just One Day (Just One Day, #1)

Just One Day (Just One Day #1) by Gayle Foreman. Everybody loves this series. I was about four or five chapters in when Omens became available and this one hadn’t done anything to interest me so far, so I made the switch. However, I’m planning on trying this again for a few chapters to give me a little break from Omens.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Boy, Snow, Bird    Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, #1)

Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi and Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige just came off the hold list from the library, so I think I’ll be going with one of them.

WHAT I’M READING

Crash into You (Pushing the Limits, #3)

Crash into You (Pushing the Limits #3) by Katie McGarry. So I know I wasn’t planning on continuing this series anytime soon after I finished the first book, but they were already available at the library, so I just went with it. I only have a few chapters left and I’m kind of ambivalent about it. I like the chapters from Rachel’s POV. Isaiah still isn’t my favorite, but he has grown on me a ton in this book.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

I’m not sure. I think I need to do a re-read of Shadow and Bone and Siege and Storm

WHAT I’M READING

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2)

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits #2) by Katie McGarry. Ok. So I had no intention of continuing this series anytime soon, but I found myself faced with a few review titles that are long-ish and serious-ish and I’m just not in the state of mind for serious reading. I also find I’m not in the mood to read anything I really care about it, so this came up at the library and I decided to try it. While it appears to have heavier themes than most YA romance, it’s still, at it’s core, YA romance, which always fills the bill when I need something fluffy to read.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Ruins (Partials Sequence, #3)   Undetected

Ruins (Partial Sequence #3) by Dan Wells and Undetected by Dee Henderson. I’ve been putting off Ruins because I was pretty disappointed with book 2 in this series. I haven’t heard great things about the conclusion to the series, either. But I still want to read it. I enjoyed the O’Malley series by Dee Henderson, so I of course had to request Dee Henderson on NetGalley. However, it’s a pdf and not an epub, so reading it on my Nook is super annoying. But I’m still looking forward to it!

WHAT I’M READING

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits #1) by Katie McGarry. The blogging community seems to love this series, so when I saw this book was free this weekend on iBooks (it might still be free, I’m not sure), I thought I’d give it a try. So far, I’m not terribly impressed, but I’m just a couple chapters in. Also, having it on iBooks means I can only read it on my ipod and or phone and not my Nook, so that hinders a bit of my reading enjoyment.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Ruins (Partials Sequence, #3)

Ruins (Partials #3) by Dan Wells. I’m reading this book because of my need to finish series I start. The first book was not as good as I had expected it to be and the second book was about 200 pages too long. But, I still want to see how it ends.

I apologize to all those that may care that I haven’t posted much lately. I haven’t really felt much like reading lately and what I have read I haven’t felt like reviewing. But, nevertheless, here is my Monday’s Minutes

The Last Letter from Your Lover

WHAT I’M READING

The Last Letter from you Lover by Jojo Moyes. While I disapprove of infidelity, I’m mostly enjoying this book so far. This is my first Jojo Moyes book and I’m quite impressed with her writing. The character development is A-mazing!

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Sweet Reckoning (The Sweet Trilogy, #3)  Silenced (Alaskan Courage, #4)

Tomorrow Sweet Reckoning by Wendy Higgins and Silenced by Dani Pettrey comes out, so they are probably next on my list.
