8 Year Blogiversary and an Announcement

Today marks 8 Years since I started my blog!

I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has followed, liked, commented, and shared my posts. I have read some amazing books and met some amazing people, all due to my time in the book blogging community. Thank you all for being a part of it!

Eight years is much longer than I ever thought I’d stick with this little blog. I’ve been considering making a change for awhile, though, and now that I am caught up and have posted reviews for all my ARCs, I feel like this is a good time to step away from blogging. While I reserve the right to always change my mind and come back, as of right now, I am planning this to be my last post. You can still catch me over on Goodreads and The Storygraph (I haven’t really fully acclimated to The Storygraph  yet, but I think you can connect with people by usernames – mine is “stephaniesbookreviews”) and I do plan to continue blog hopping occasionally so I can stay up to date on good book recs and what all of my blogger friends are up to.

Thanks again for all your support over the last 8 years!

-❤- Stephanie

    • Thank you! It will be an adjustment to not post things anymore, but I think it’s the right move for me right now. One thing I will always be grateful for this blog for, though, is that it’s how we met! You were the first person I ever met in real life from the internet and I am so happy that you didn’t turn out to be an axe murderer lol 😀

      • I was saving that part of me for later to change things up. 🤣 You are the first person I met from the internet too. I am so grateful I randomly clicked on your blog name off of a list. I think it was a sign up for a readathon and it was a big list! Crazy how things work out like that. I miss seeing you and hope some day life will be back to normal!!

      • Playing the long game! Lol. Our library is planning to have a big in person author event this fall, so I keep checking the cuyahoga site to see if they’re starting back up with any good ones. Hopefully soon! 🤞🏻

      • Oh yeah! Let me know. I will come down if you are going. I keep watching the Cuyahoga library too. So far everything still seems to be virtual. I know it is best but I am vaccinated and not patient lol.

      • The ones we’re having here don’t sound like they’ll be worth it. I’ve only heard of two of them (don’t remember the names of the others), but I wasn’t interested in them. They usually go for children’s authors or non-fiction authors, so I like the variety of authors Cuyahoga does better.

  1. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m going to miss your blog SO MUCH. 😦 I get it, though. 8 years is a long time. You’ve put in so much time and effort and it’s been a beautiful thing. You know I’ll be catching up with you on GR and forcing you to read books that way. 😉 Happy anniversary and I hope this isn’t the end, just a long extended break. *HUGS*

  2. Congrats on 8 years but I’m really sad to see you leave. I love reading your blog and will miss seeing your posts. I’ve just followed you on Storygraph and added you as a friend on GR so will be good to keep in touch on there. Wishing you all the best. x

    • Thank you!! I’m so glad we’re connected on Goodreads now! What’s your user name on The Storygraph so I can follow you there, too? They apparently don’t notify you when someone follows like Goodreads does.

  3. Oh Stephanie, I’m sorry to see you leave the blogging world but I totally understand. I just hit 8 years too. Wishing you the best – hope to connect with you on Twitter if you will still be around there! 🙂

  4. I’m not a fan of this announcement!!! But I also totally get it. Obviously, I have an actual addiction to blogging since I can’t stop even when I’m five months behind, so I’m glad you have a healthier relationship with your blogging muse! I really miss your reviews, though, because we like (and dislike) a lot of the same books!! Whenever I’m thinking about adding a book to my TBR, I check to see if you’ve reviewed it on GR because I trust your thoughts haha Anyway, I’ll really miss you on WordPress, so we’ll have to stay in touch via email!!!
