What did you recently finish reading?

Date Me Like You Mean It by R.S. Grey. Not a perfect book, but it was cute and I even managed to read it in a day.

What are you currently reading?

Best Friends Don’t Kiss by Max Monroe. So, I hate the cover and the title for this, but I’m liking the story so far.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m really not sure! I’ll probably look for another holiday romance.

What are you reading?

  1. I liked Date Me more then her past couple of books. I finally felt connected to the characters like I do with her older books. Yeah I don’t like the cover or title of Max Monroe’s book. I am glad you are enjoying it. I have KU so I really want to get to this one but I keep adding more to my TBR. I also keep adding Christmas books. I usually only read them in December so I should have enough for the next 10 haha.

    • I agree that the RS Grey book was better than some of her most recent ones. You need to give me some good Christmas book recommendations from KU! I’ve read The Clause in Christmas, but am looking for more. I might re-read Faking Under the Mistletoe.

      • The only KU Christmas book I have read so far is Scrooged by Vi Keeland/Penelope Ward. It is a collection of 3 short stories. The first is ok but I liked the other 2. I read The Christmas Swap and Christmas In Winter Hill by Melody Carlson. The first is my favorite of the two. On my KU TBR: My Smalltown CEO Scrooge by Harmony Knight, Jingle Wars by R. Holmes, Holly Pointe and Mistletoe and Holly Pointe and Candy Canes by Cindy Kirk, The Christmas Pact by Vi Keeland, Christmas Cliche by Tara Sivec

      • Awesome, thank you! I downloaded a couple of those on KU. I had started My Smalltown CEO Scrooge and couldn’t get into it all. I’m not sure if it was the book or me. I’m going to wait to hear what you think of it before I decide if I want to try it again.

  2. I am excited that you’re liking that Max Monroe book so far. I was a little worried when I recommended it and then saw you were reading it. Hopefully, I didn’t steer your wrong! Is that RS Grey one worth reading for me?

    • I just finished the Monroe book and enjoyed it! There is one thing that bugged me that I didn’t understand – why does Thatcher say “fluffing” all the time? I mean, I don’t mind that he’s using a different word, but I felt like there was probably a story behind it that I was missing? I think you’d probably like the RS Grey book. It actually has a lot of similarities to this Max Monroe book.

      • Yes, there is a reason and I can’t remember exactly what it was at this point! It’s been so long. Maybe I need to do a reread of Banking the Billionaire to find out so I can tell you. I would say that you could read some more of their books, if you liked this one. Their most recent titles would probably work best, like The Boss Next Door and anything that comes after that. You could try the Billionaire Bad Boys series with Thatch in it, but I think it might be more than you would want.

      • Ok, thank you! I’ll look at the newer ones. I got Tapping the Billionaire (I think that’s the title) once when it was free and kind of quickly decided it wasn’t for me. This book was cute, though, so I’m glad I read your review on it because I never would’ve picked it up otherwise!
