What did you recently finish reading?

Forever Wild (The Simple Wild #2.5) by K.A. Tucker. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book in a day. Granted, this was a novella, but I’ll take it. It took me a couple chapters to get into this, but I definitely ended up enjoying it.

Play With me (Grover Beach Team #1) by Piper Shelly/Anna Katmore. So I finally bit the bullet and spent the money on a 6 month deal for Kindle Unlimited (since every other deal I saw ended up being only for people who have never subscribed before, even though they don’t say that in the ad, which I find very annoying) and I am determined to get my money’s worth out of it. This book has been on my TBR for a long time so I decided to finally give it a try. It was published in 2012 and it’s a pretty classic YA Contemporary for that time period. It will probably end up being a 3 star read for me.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Not-Outcast by Tijan. In all honestly, I’ll probably end up pausing my currently reading book to start this one instead.

  1. Your books sound interesting, I haven’t read any of them. I am ready Marty Wingate’s MURDER IS A MUST. Not sure what I will read next. I just finished reading IN THE NICK OF TIME by Emily Brightwell.

  2. I AM SO EXCITED YOU GOT KU!!! I know it pained you to spend that much, but I think you’re going to find out that it will be worth it if you just read a couple of books a month from it. I am currently making my way through Karla Sorensen’s backlist using it. I am so excited!!!
I am so curious as to what you’re going to think of the new Tijan book!

    • I’m still a little mad at myself for spending money, but I knew there were a few books coming out that will be on KU that I’ll for sure use it for. And I don’t have any more 2020 ARCs and I finished my January ARCs, so I have lots of reading availability for KU. Feel free to send recs my way!
I’m just into the first chapter of the Tijan book. It usually takes me awhile to get into her books, so fingers crossed I start to enjoy it. Have you finished it yet?

      • Don’t be mad! I actually feel like it’s worth it, especially if you got a deal on it. Think of how many books you can try and not feel guilty if you DNF. I will think of more to recommend in KU besides Sorensen. Let me think on it and you know I will get back to you!
That Tijan book is a little on the weird side because of the heroine’s diagnosis. I think you might have a hard time with one of the friend’s use of words, but I think you might enjoy the overall story.

      • I’m through the first couple chapters of the Tijan book. I thought Cut’s POV would save it for me, but I thought he was a bit of a psycho, honestly. I’m hoping it’s because he’s drunk in his first chapter?
