Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Have Been On My TBR the Longest and I Still Haven’t Read

This week’s prompt for Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, didn’t really speak to me, so I decided to look through past topics instead. I decided to go with: Top Ten Books That Have Been On My TBR the Longest and I Still Haven’t Read.

    • I’m preparing to move so I was just going through all my physical books to see what I could get rid of and probably about a third of them are ones I’ve had for years and haven’t read yet. But I MIGHT some day! The ones on this list are my virtual TBR shelf and the oldest one has been on there since 2012 lol.

      • Oh wow! Yeah nothing that old for me lol but I’ve only been growing my collection since 2015. I try to do regular purges to get rid of books I haven’t read and probably won’t read. My kindle is another story 🙈

  1. I have read one of these!!! I read The Daughter of Smoke & Bone. I absolutely loved the first 2/3. It lost me after that. But maybe you would like it more than I did. You probably do better with fantasy than I do.

  2. Oooh, this is such a great topic! I think the books that have been on my TBR the longest are all backlist ARCs, both physical and in e-book form, that I never got around to reading. I think the most notable book on that list is probably Passenger by Alexandra Bracken, but I’m hoping to read it sometime this year!

  3. I’ve only read Clockwork Angel, The Cuckoo’s Calling and Daughter Of Smoke And Bone of these… I checked my Goodreads TBR and apparently the three oldest books on my would be Native Son, Gone With The Wind and Triptych. I’m hoping to read the last one at least some time soon though! xx

    • I’ve heard similar things about the Daughter of Smoke and Bones, so I think that’s what keeps putting me off. That and it’s not really a genre I usually go for these days. I really don’t know if I’ll ever get to the Clockwork book. I’m kind of over that author. But everyone seems to think this is her best series…so maybe someday?
