What did you recently start and put back on your TBR?
I’m changing this first question a bit. I’ve been having trouble with picking a book and sticking with it lately. These are two books I recently tried and wasn’t in the mood for and ended up putting them back on my TBR list. The Chase (Briar U #1) by Elle Kennedy and Love the One You Hate by RS Grey.
What are you currently reading?
Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin. I’ve heard so many good things about this that I requested it from the library, even though YA Fantasy isn’t really my thing anymore. I’m not really sure if it’s because of my current mood or if it’s the book, but I’m not really enjoying it yet. I’m hoping it gets better, though, as I’m only a few chapters in so far.
What do you think you’ll read next?
My next ARC up is Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia.
I can’t wait to know what you think about Mexican Gothic, it sounds SO good 😍
I’m looking forward to it! I love the cover so much.
I’m sad The Chase wasn’t working for you, but I get it. I’ve been in a weird reading mood lately, too. The only thing that got me out of it was Ginger Scott’s upcoming book. I think it’s because it gave me the same vibe as some of Tijan’s. I’m really excited to hear about Mexican Gothic once you read it.
I think I’ve been reading too many romances in a row from KU that I’m kind of burnt out on them now. I’m looking forward to starting Mexican Gothic!
I totally get that. It’s part of the reason I started The Sun Down Motel. I think it helped a lot.
I can’t wait for your thoughts on Mexican Gothic! I’m intrigued by it!
I’m looking forward to it. I love the cover so much!
That cover is beautiful!
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Serpent & Dove, so hopefully it picks up for you!
Thank you! I put it on a break to read some other things right now, but I hope to give it another try before my library hold expires.
I’ll be looking forward to see what you will think of Serpent & Dove! I’ve been curious about that one too. xx
I’ve put it on hold for now as I’m trying other books, but I hope to get back to it before my library hold ends!
