What did you recently finish reading?
Fallen Crest Campout by Tijan. This novella was a surprise release and was a quick, fun read.
What are you currently reading?
Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier. To be perfectly honest, I think I’ve read the synopsis of this book once since I first heard about it and promptly forgot about what it was about. I loved Hillier’s Jar of Hearts so much that I didn’t really care. I was going to read anything she wrote next. I’m not very far in yet, but I’m really not into it. I decided to look at the synopsis again and it’s kind of made me not want to read it right now. I feel like so many books I’ve been reading lately have included a cheating plotline and I’m just kind of over it.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Maybe Crew by Tijan?
I’m sorry you aren’t liking Littke Sexrets! I really enjoyed it, but you’re right there’s tons of thrillers with that plot line. Let me know how Crew is! I’ve had that on my TBR for a while.
I’m powering through Little Secrets. It seems more like a Women’s Fiction book than a thriller to me. I know I’m still hoping something amazing will happen that will change my mind. Crew is currently free if you don’t have a copy yet!
I just downloaded Crew! I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you! I hope you do, too!
Thank you 🙂
Guess I’m not the only one who hates the cheating plot line. It’s the reason why I took a break from reading thrillers, especially pschological thrillers, most of them has cheating.
Hope you enjoy reading the other books in your list though. 🙂
Thanks! Sometimes I can overlook it, but I think this just ended up being one too many books in a row that included it.
Oh I wish I can overlook it too. I really can’t. hehe. That’s why sometimes I’m OK with spoilers just so I know I won’t encounter cheating plotline. 🙂
I’m super bummed you’re not into Little Secrets. It was kind of a sleepy, but fast-paced thriller. I really enjoyed it. Hopefully, you can get back to it later and enjoy it. I’m glad you at least liked Fallen Crest Campout. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Crew.
I’m trying to power through Little Secrets. I don’t know what my problem is, I know everyone loves it. Just wasn’t expecting cheating to be such a large part of the plot, I guess? I’m glad we both enjoyed Fallen Crest Campout, too! It was a fun little escape.
Just keep going…the end might make up for it.
Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier is going to be my next thriller after Pretty Thing by Janelle Brown. I also read and finished Fallen Crest Campout and now I want to go back to Fallen Crest and read it all again 😀
I hope you enjoy Little Secrets more than I am so far. And I’m glad you enjoyed Fallen Crest Campout! I read it yesterday, too. Have you read the Crew series yet?
I have 😀 as soon as she drops a book I’m all over it
I’ve been curious about Little Secrets too and like you I didn’t really focus on the blurb as I loved Jar Of Hearts… I hate the cheating angle in a story though, so I might have to pass for now. Thanks for the warning! I hope you will enjoy your next reads. xx
Thank you! I’m trying to power through Little Secrets, but it hasn’t gotten much better for me, yet. I hope you enjoy it more than I am if you decide to read it!
