February 2020 Recap

So February was kind of the opposite to January for me. I fell off the wagon with all my goals – exercise, counting calories, daily devotionals, writing. It all went downhill for me. I have fallen far behind in responding to blog comments and blog hopping. At work, one of my co-workers found out that her cancer had not only returned but spread very aggressively. She’s going to stop working to focus on her treatment, but if you all can keep her in your prayers, it would be appreciated. The one good thing that happened this month is that my Mom finally got to retire. They threw her such a nice retirement party at work and I’m very happy for her. I also manged to read a decent number of books this month.

  1. I am so sorry to hear about your coworker. I will definitely keep her in my prayers. Congrats to your mom. I hope she enjoys your retirement!

    • I joined Weight Watchers a couple weeks ago and have lost 4 lbs. I joined the middle package which includes meetings but they do have an online only package. I am on the green plan which makes me track everything I eat. It has been helpful in showing me how much I overeat especially when I am tired or bored. I got to a point where I realized I couldn’t do it on my own and I needed help. Just a suggestion. They usually have a new member promotion going on. If you use Rakuten, you get $3 cash back.

      • Congrats on the 4 lbs! I did Weight Watchers years ago and lost a good amount of weight on it. I use Myfitnesspal when I’m motivated and trying and it’s worked for me. My problem is that I lose motivation and stop tracking things and fall back into old habits.

    • Thank you! It’s been really sad that she had to stop working, but with everything else going on in the world right now, it’s definitely good that she’s not subjected to all the germs at work. Mom is loving retirement so far!

  2. I’m sorry about your co-worker. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Congrats to your Mom, though! That is s exciting. I also fell off the healthy wagon, but I don’t know that I was truly on it. 😦 March will be better for both of us!!!
