WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
What are you currently reading?
The Murder House (DCI Matilda Darke #5) by Michael Wood. I feel like I’ve been reading this forever, though it’s only been a few days. I had a hard time getting into it, but it’s finally starting to pick up for me. This is also the fifth book in the series and I haven’t read the previous ones, so that might be part of it.
What did you recently finish reading?
The Other People by C.J. Tudor. This was ok, but I didn’t love it. Honestly, I think I need to call it on trying this author’s books. They’re well written, but not really for me.
What do you think you’ll read next?
One of Us is Next (One of Us is Lying #2) by Karen M. McManus. I’m next in line for this at the library, so my fingers are crossed it comes in soon!
When you get One of Us Is Next, give up that book you’re reading if you’re not enjoying it. Then you can read One of Us Is Next and (hopefully) have a good reading experience! 😉
I ended up having only a few chapters left when I got One of Us Is Next, so it worked out well. And I really enjoyed OFUIN!
Really? UGH! My library needs to hurry up with my copy!
I’m on the fence on One of Us is Next. I can’t really remember the first book that much. I’m wondering if that will matter. I’ll need you to tell me after you finish. 🙂
I had forgotten a lot about the first book, too, but it didn’t really matter. You still see all of the original characters in some capacity, but it revolves around new characters. I enjoyed it! The mystery wasn’t as good (I guessed everything pretty early), but I really enjoyed the characters. Worth the read, I think!
