    • I’m jealous! I hope that you love it. I’m of the camp that I don’t think it’s anybody’s responsibility to give trigger warnings (since they are different for everyone). I have seen Leigh say several times on twitter that this is an adult book and not YA, so hopefully that will help with some of the fall out. Can’t wait to hear what you think of it!

  1. Because of my mood lately, I’m nervous to read The Wives. I’m afraid I’m going to hate it. My tastes are so different and she’s one of my favorites. I’m also nervous about The Starless Sea and if it’s going to live up to my expectations. 😀

    • I think I’ve only read one book by Fisher and I didn’t love it as much as everyone else did, so I don’t have as high expectations for The Wives. I hope you’re in the right mood when you give it a go, though! I think it will be impossible for The Starless Sea to live up to all the hype. But I’m going to be cautiously optimistic!

  2. I can’t remember if I replied to this post yet or not, so please excuse me if this is a double comment.

The Ninth House has been on so many lists this week. I hope that means it will be a good read.

    My TTT.

  3. Great list of books here, and I haven’t read any of them. Lately finished Carnegie’s Maid (excellent historical fiction), Normal People (contemporary lit, edgy and really well-written), Sounds Like Titanic (memoir) and The Bird King (magical realism and incredible).
