You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle. I thought this sounded cute, but I’m not quite sure about it yet. The main character is very, very unlikable. I think she’s supposed to come off as funny, but she seems more like a sociopath to me. That said, there was one scene that did make me laugh a lot, so I’m going to give it a few more chapters at least. It’s a good book to be reading this week since I’m not too invested in it, as I’ve been really busy with packing. Moving day is tomorrow! And I have soooo much to do before the movers get here.

What did you recently finish reading?

Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren and Woman in the Water (DS Imogen Grey #6) by Katerina Diamond. These were both 3 star reads for me, which was a little disappointing since I love these authors.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I just got approved for Lake Season (Bluebell Inn Romance #1) by Denise Hunter on NetGalley.

  1. Good luck on moving day!! Too bad the Christina Lauren wasn’t up to par. Your current book has a cute cover, but a sociopath? ugh… kinda funny though, curious to hear how it plays out! I’m reading The Other Mrs. Miller (pretty good) and just approved for The Other Mrs. by Mary Kubica which I’ll probably read next week because I can’t wait!

    • Thanks! There were several hiccups, but I am all officially moved in. I finished You Deserve Each Other today and ended up giving it two star. The latter half of the book was much better than the first half, but the first half was awful. I think it’s kind of funny that your current and next read are almost the same title.

  2. You Deserve Each Other: I am not a fan of unlikeable main characters. I want my main character to have some redeeming qualities and to have something or someone they want very much but must overcome obstacles first. I will be curious to read your review on this one.
Lake Season: I LOVE this cover! The story sounds intriguing. I am putting this on my wish list.
