Summer is just flying by. In July I attended my favorite summer tradition, seeing Linda Castillo on book tour. This year, she was joined by another author, Amanda Flower. I had never heard of Amanda before, but she is local (lives in Tallmadge, OH) and has over 30 books published. She also writes Amish fiction, but hers are cozy mysteries. They joked that on a panel they were both on they were told to line up from scariest to least scariest book and they were on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. They talked about their different writing styles (Linda is a plotter and Amanda is a pantster) and each answered questions about their process and books. They were so funny and it was a great evening.

You had a great month! That’s awesome that you have a tradition of seeing the same author yearly.
Thank you! I love that Castillo comes every year. She even remembers my name now when she signs my book!
That’s awesome!
I’m glad you had fun at the Castillo event!
Thank you! It’s always such a good time!
I’ve never attended an author event, but I’m running one at our library in October. It must be such fun to hear a writer speak!
Oh fun! What author are you having?
His name is John Dobbyn – he’s a local guy, a retired law professor, who writes mysteries. He has a new book coming out called High Stakes, so we’re timing it to match the release.
How fun! I hope it goes great!
