I didn’t think that I had a very good reading or blogging month until I was preparing this post, but I actually read much more and posted much more than I thought I did. So yay for me. The most exciting thing to happen this month was that I got to go with Amanda to two different book events to see Karin Slaughter and Lisa Scottoline.
I also won a contest for an ARC (and “swag”) of Renegades by Marissa Meyer! I’ve started the book and am enjoying it so far. The “swag” were some pens and a slap bracelet. Are slap bracelets back in? I remember them being very popular when I was a kid…until people kept getting cut by them. This one has a rubbery exterior so I think it’s safer than what we had back in my day. I don’t really know what I’ll do with it, though.

Emery Lord is writing a sequel to The Start of Me and You
My favorite Emery Lord book, The Start of Me and You is getting a sequel! Unfortunately we have to wait until 2019 for The Map from Here to There, but it’s always exciting when the author of a beloved standalone decides to continue the characters’ stories.
Wow! I am exhausted reading all that you did last month.
Lol 🙂
The Start of Me and you is one of my favorite YA contemporary read and I’m so glad to hear there’s going to be a sequel to it. I’m so excited for Renegades! I hope you love it! 🙂
I love The Start of Me and You, too! I was so excited when I heard that. And thanks. I’m enjoying the Renegades so far, though it’s a little slow.
Congrats on winning the arc of Renegades. Great haul of books.

Thanks! I was pretty excited!
WHat a great month ❤ And how awesome that Karin signed the book! I'm jealous!
Thanks! It was so cool to meet her! I rambled like an idiot, though, of course.
Hahaha I’d probably do the same
I had such a blast at the author visits! They were the highlight of my month. I have quite a few Elizabeth Eulberg’s books and can’t wait to start them. Also, I got the job you had to listen to me whine about lol. Thanks for listening and not running from the room 🙂
I can’t wait to hear what you think of the Eulberg books! I hope you enjoy them. And Congratulations on the job! I’m so happy for you! I wanted to ask you if you had heard anything, but didn’t want to bring it up in case it was bad news.
I have not read an Emery Lord book, yet. Shameful. I have them – just haven’t made the time. You had a great reading month!! Slap bracelets? I don’t know what I’d do with it, either. Lol. Everything seems to be making a comeback! Sunnie was excited for a ‘new’ tv show coming on Disney – Duck Tales. I told her that was popular when I was a kid – they bring all the good stuff back.
Honestly, the only Emery Lord book I really recommend is The Start of Me and You. The other ones I’ve read by her I didn’t find that impressive. I’m a minority opinion, though. I heard that Duck Tales was coming back! I used to love that cartoon so much.
