I’ve seen this tag around a lot recently and was thinking about doing it and then I was tagged by Raven over at Dreamy Addictions (go check her out!). Thanks Raven! Feel free to tag yourself if you’d like.
Best Book You’ve Read Yet in 2017.
I can’t pick just one, but the 3 books I have rated the highest are: Daisy in Chains, Making Faces, and Ragdoll
Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2017.
A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab. I thought this was a good ending to the series and I liked it MUCH more than the previous book.
New Release You Haven’t Read Yet But Want To.
Strange the Dreamer. I got it once at the library, but wasn’t in the mood for it. I then won it in a giveaway so I definitely need to read it.

Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills.

I am wracking my brain and I don’t think that I’ve watched any. I saw the first episode of the Big Little Lies tv series (and then my free HBO expired) and thought it was ok, but it did not live up to my expectations.

I’ve only actually bought three books this year and I am honestly not a fan of any of their covers.

You’ve only bought three books so far this year? You are so much stronger than me! I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump, I might need to pick up Now You See Me now.
I am very, very stingy when it comes to spending my money. Probably 99% of the books I read come from the library or NetGalley. And you should definitely read Now You See Me! It’s so good!!
I loved both Making Faces and ACOL as well and I can’t wait to read both Now You See Me and Daisy In Chains! It will be the first time I read one of her books and I just can’t wait! 😀 And I was disappointed by Final Girls as well.
I think you will love the Bolton books! They are so good and Bolton’s writing is excellent.
I have a copy of Now You See Me waiting for me and I can’t wait to dive into it! Hopefully some time within the next two weeks… 🙂
I need Foolish Hearts like now. Gimme, gimme!
I know! I keep checking NetGalley to see if it’s on there yet.
If you see it, you’ll have to let me know!
I will!
Loved your answers! I love Amy Harmon’s books because they’re all pretty emotional and they always makes me cry. I haven’t read Making Faces but I’ll definitely check it out someday. I recently finished Monsters Of Verity and loved it. I can’t wait to start ADSOM! I haven’t read the Strange the dreamer yet but I really want to. I’m sorry to hear that Flame In the Mist turns out to be a disappointment for you. I really loved that book. I’m looking forward to read Final Girls and I’m hoping that it won’t disappoint me.
Thanks! I hope that you enjoy Final Girls more than I did, just like you did with Flame in the Mist. I have seen really great reviews on both books, but they just didn’t live up to them for me.
I love this post! I keep hoping to get approved for The Good Daughter – it sounds good!
Love Making Faces so much. I need to read When It’s Real soon. I preordered it but haven’t read it, of course.
Thanks! I actually won a copy of The Good Daughter on Good Reads and it arrived the other day so it’s going to be my next book after I finish my current one. I’m very excited about it. Have you heard that Karin Slaughter is going to be in the Cleveland area in August?
Ahh!! I’m so looking forward to starting the Shades of Magic series. It’s been deeply buried in my endless TBR pile and I still have yet to haul it out. I just finished When Dimple Met Rishi which was so absolutely charming, and I still have quite a few Netgalley books to read and review, but I hope I’m able to begin this trilogy soon – it seems to be the big hype all over here and Goodreads!
I look forward to reading more from you soon Stephanie… Happy July Reading 🙂
Thank you! And I hope you enjoy the Shades of Magic series. I don’t think it’s as amazing as what many other people make it out to be, but I did enjoy it and Schwab’s writing.
Sharon Bolton is one of my very favorite authors. So much so that I will get anything she writes – don’t even have to read the blurb!
I can’t believe I had never heard of her until this year. She’s pretty much an auto-buy for me now, too.
