Where did February go? I can’t even really remember if anything noteworthy happened. Work was blah. I got new glasses. I read some books.

Book News:
Iron Gold Release Date Moved to 2018
As we all know, one of my favorite series is Red Rising by Pierce Brown. He’s writing a spin-off series that was supposed to debut this summer, but sadly it wasn’t quite ready yet and it now won’t be out until next year.
Good Reads adds a Re-Read Feature
Good Reads FINALLY added a re-read feature that won’t screw up your stats from previous years! I am a big re-reader and it always annoyed me that I couldn’t count them in my reading challenge (technically there was a “# of times read” checkbox and you could change the read date, but when I tried it, it moved the book out of my previous year challenge and I didn’t care for that at all). I’m very happy about this update. Hopefully the next reader-friendly update will be 1/2 stars!!
Looking Forward to March:
This is the first month in a while that I don’t have ARC reviews already queued up, so who knows how many actual reviews will be posted. Hopefully I’ll read some good books that will inspire me to actually review it.
Congrats on a great month!
Thanks 🙂
I almost cried when I saw saw that iron gold has been pushed back. But it will be all the better for the wait. I am cutting down the days. 😊
I know! It was my most anticipated book of the year! But if Pierce Brown says it’s not ready yet, then I can’t be too sad about it. I agree that I’d rather wait a little longer to have an amazing book.
Another great month! You’ve been reading so many good books lately, and I’m jealous. I have not been having the best reading year as far as quality goes. I hope March is better!
I’ve had a couple of rough patches, but for the most part I’ve been pretty lucky with my book choices. I hope March goes better for you and that you can build on the momentum of the Higgins book you loved!
I was also super stoked about the reread option on Goodreads! It seems like such an obvious thing, really. For me, books are like comfort food, and I have certain ones I go back to whenever I am feeling stressed or need something familiar. So anyway, yes! And half stars would be quite fantastic, or even a 10-star system, which I guess is basically the same thing haha
Exactly! So far this year I’ve only had 2 re-reads, but I usually have a ton more by the end of the year. I’m excited they finally made a good change for it. My average rating would go up so much if we could use half stars, too.
