This week’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, is: 10 Wishes I’d Ask The Book Genie To Grant Me (a new book from a certain author, a reading superpower, a character to come to life, to meet a certain author etc. etc.).
1. That my book crush would be real, age appropriate, and amicably split from their significant other and interested in me.
I was going to have this basically be a wish for all my book crushes, but that could probably take the whole list. But think, Daemon Black from the Lux series, Levi from Fangirl, Gansey from The Raven Boys, Warner from the Shatter Me series, Cam from the Wait for You series, Ethan Mirabelli from The Next Best Thing, Seth from the Covenant/Titan series, Finn from Illusions of Fate. Any of them would do 🙂
2. *Spoiler from the Hunger Games trilogy* Suzanne Collins would re-write a few parts of Mockingjay and Finnick would never die.
3. That Rainbow Rowell would let me read all her books before she published them. And that we were best friends.
4. One more book to wrap up The Elemental series by Brigid Kemmerer because Sacrifice was not a satisfactory end to that series!
5. That there would be no wait for ebooks at the library and ALL THE BOOKS EVER would be available.
6. That I would be granted every ARC I request.
7. That there were more books by Jane Austen.
8. A more explosive ending to Gone Girl.
9. That I could get all my work done and read at the same time so I could spend my 8+ hours at work every day actually doing something enjoyable.
10. A perfectly adapted movie version of The Night Circus.
What are your Book Wishes?
That’s a heck of a list! What I don’t understand is how an ebook can be unavailable? My library does those too and I’m like it’s electronic you can do more than one file! But then again they are probably using kindle to lend them out. Sadness.
I don’t understand either. Maybe some type of licensing issue? You would think they would be more easily available, though!
#1 though. My dream haha! Nice list!
My TTT
Haha thanks!
#9 most definitely… Never enough hrs in the day…pffff
Okay, yes, Finnick needs to not be dead. Please and thank you.
#1, 6 and 9 definitely! Would love to be able to multi-task work and reading! Also, definitely want book crushes to come alive, single and ready to mingle! 😉
Life would be perfect!
Wow, good list. I definitely agree about the library and ebooks. I don’t understand why I have to wait for them, it’s not like there are limited copies available. I mean. they’re digital.
Thanks! Yeah I don’t understand that either. Licensing issues? You would think it would be easier.
#7: At least Austen had six novels! Emily Bronte only had one! What tragedies to die so early in life 😦

Oh I love your ten 🙂 you speak my language 🙂
Great list!
Some of mine are:
#2 I wish Finnick and Prim survived.
definitely #5
#7 a sequel to Pride and Prejudice would be great
The ability to read and listen to books twice as fast but still enjoy them as much as I do now. That would get my TBR list under control.
A rewrite of Allegiant where Tris lives and I like Four as much as I did in the first two.
An e reader the never has to be charged.
Oh definitely a rewrite of Allegiant. I would love to love Four again. And I could even be ok with Tris dying if it was done for a reason that actually makes sense. And pretty much the whole book could’ve been so much better!
8. A more explosive ending to Gone Girl.
YES. So much this. I like the hopelessness of the ending but I wouldn’t complain if it was even more so. :p
It took me awhile to be ok with the ending, but I still wish it was just MORE.
Here’s hoping Rainbow shows up at an event near you, so you get the chance to meet her.
