Stephanie: Recommending Crime and Mystery Novels

For today’s genre of Recommendation Week, I’m going to be sharing my Favorite Mystery/Crime novels.

  1. Linwood Barclay is my go-to guy for mysteries. His character-development is great and his mysteries are always interesting. One of my favorites of his is No Time for Goodbye. A young girl wakes up one morning to find her entire family gone without a trace. Twenty-five years later her paranoia of her daughter getting taken is beginning to wear on her husband, until he discovers she may not be so paranoid after all.
  2. Another great mystery writer I love is Linda Castillo. She writes the Kate Burkholder series which is set within Holmes County, Ohio, which I love because I grew up close to there. Sworn to Silence is the first book in the Kate Burkholder series. Kate is formerly Amish and is now police chief in a small town with a large Amish…

  1. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a Barclay book. I love Harlan Coben books, so I think I’d enjoy more Barclay. I haven’t tried No Time for Goodbye, so I may have to add it to my list!
